Odeonsplatz in the heart of Munich came alive in the colors of the Indian Tricolour as the Consulate General of India, Munich, in collaboration with GDIZ, hosted a grand celebration of India’s Independence Day.
The historic square was transformed into a vibrant canvas of patriotism, filled with the rhythmic beats of Dhol-Tasha, energetic cultural performances, and a sea of saffron, white, and green waving proudly in the air.
From traditional music to spirited dance, the event showcased the cultural pride of the Indian diaspora while bringing together hundreds of families, friends, and well-wishers of India. The celebration echoed the essence of Har Ghar Tiranga, symbolizing unity, pride, and love for the motherland—away from home, yet close at heart.
