Ambassador Hemant H. Kotalwar called on Finland’s newly appointed Minister of Economic Affairs, Sakari Puisto, to warmly congratulate him on his new role.

During their meeting, Minister Puisto fondly recalled his visit to India in September 2024 as Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Commerce, where he had held fruitful discussions with India’s Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, and Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.

The two leaders exchanged views on advancing India-Finland bilateral cooperation in key areas such as the Sustainability Partnership, Circular Economy, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technology, and more. Minister Puisto also acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Indian diaspora to Finnish society.
