Republic Day – 2023 celebrations by the Consulate General of India, Hamburg
The 74th Republic Day of India was celebrated at the premises of the Consulate on January 26, 2023, with much gaiety. The flag hoisting ceremony was held at 1000 hrs which was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The President’s Address to the Nation was read out by Shri Gulshan DHINGRA, Acting Consul General. Soon it was followed by a short cultural program which included a patriotic song sung by Master Samyak Chaganti, a poem recitation by Mr. Prajwal Kumar, and classical dance performances by Ms.Giulia Marchetti and Ms. Neela Bhaskar which enthralled the audience. Dr. Amal Mukhopadhyay, the PBSA 2023 awardee, who also graced the occasion with his benign presence, took this opportunity to unveil his book ‘12th Hanseatic India Colloquium, Germany, Solid Waste Management: an Indo-German Dialogue’ through the ACG. Light refreshments were served at the end of the program. About 150 guests including members of the Indian diaspora especially the student community from Keil & Bremen attended the event.
