On 09 May 2025, Consul General Mr. B. S. Mubarak, accompanied by a high-level delegation from Guidance Tamil Nadu led by its Managing Director & CEO, Dr. Darez Ahamed, IAS, visited Düsseldorf to bolster economic and strategic ties with the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).
The delegation met with Mr. Nathanael Liminski, Minister for International Affairs and Media & Head of the State Chancellery of NRW. During the discussions, the Guidance team proposed hosting an investors’ conference in Düsseldorf, featuring senior representatives from the Government of Tamil Nadu and prominent industry leaders. Minister Liminski welcomed the initiative and assured full support from the Government of NRW.
Further engagements included meetings with Dr. Tobias Traupel and Mr. Torsten Peter of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of NRW, focusing on potential collaborations in investment, technology, and the circular economy.
The delegation also held productive discussions with a team led by Vice Mayor Mr. Christian Zaum, which included officials from the City of Düsseldorf, IHK Düsseldorf, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, and the India Competence Centre, exploring new avenues for bilateral cooperation and economic engagement.
