President Droupadi Murmu is in Rome to attend the funeral Mass of His Holiness Pope Francis and to offer condolences on behalf of the Government and people of India.
At the Basilica of Saint Peter in Vatican City, President Murmu paid homage to His Holiness Pope Francis.
Later, President Murmu attended the funeral Mass held at Saint Peter’s Square. She was accompanied by an official Indian delegation comprising Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju; Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Shri George Kurian; and Deputy Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Joshua De Souza.
