On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa jointly unveiled a set of special commemorative stamps to mark the 50th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic ties between India and Portugal.
The stamps beautifully showcase the rich cultural heritage of both nations, featuring a Portuguese woman in the vibrant red ‘Viana do Castelo’ festive costume and an Indian woman in the intricately embroidered Black Kalbelia dress.
The two presidents met at the Palacio de Belém, the official residence of the Portuguese President, for a one-on-one conversation, followed by delegation-level discussions.
