🇮🇳🤝🇸🇪 Advancing India–Sweden Research Collaboration
Ambassador-designate Anurag Bhushan recently visited Luleå University of Technology (LTU), where he engaged with leading research groups, strengthening academic and research partnerships between India and Sweden.
🔬 Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Group
Led by Dr. Sumeet Gajanan Satpute and PhD student Vignesh Kottayam Viswanathan, the Ambassador toured two state-of-the-art robotics labs. He interacted with cutting-edge robots and drones, gaining insights into the group’s advanced AI and robotics research.
⚙️ Operation and Maintenance Engineering Group
Hosted by Professor Ramin Karim, the visit included a tour of the renowned eMaintenance Lab. The Ambassador interacted with Indian PhD and Master’s students and discussed ongoing research in predictive maintenance and digital innovations.
🚀 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Group
Led by Professor Vinit Parida, discussions focused on strategies to attract Indian STEM students to LTU. Ambassador Bhushan also met with former LTU board members Markus Gustafsson and Lars-Eric Aaro to explore opportunities for student-centric collaboration.
This visit reflects a shared commitment to deepening academic ties and fostering innovation-driven cooperation between India and Sweden.
