Ambassador Mishra conveyed his appreciation for President Higgins’ continued interest in India and for the Irish President’s earlier strong public statement condemning attacks on members of the Indian community in Ireland. He noted the President’s contributions to culture, language preservation and public intellectual life — themes that resonated with the Ambassador’s own scholarly engagement; Ambassador Mishra has authored a monograph drawing parallels between Vedic philosophy and President Higgins’ poetry.
