On 12 November 2025, Ambassador R. Ravindra and officials of the Embassy of India paid floral tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, marking the 150th birth anniversary of the revered tribal freedom fighter and social reformer.
The ceremony honoured Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s remarkable contribution to India’s freedom struggle and his unwavering efforts to protect the rights, culture, and dignity of tribal communities. His life continues to inspire generations with the values of courage, self-respect, and resistance against injustice.
The observance also reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to celebrating India’s rich tribal heritage and remembering the unsung heroes of the nation’s independence movement.
