The main organisation of Norwegian shipowners and offshore industry businesses, the Norwegian Shipowners Association, was later visited by Vice Minister Mr. Barthwal and his group. Ms. Helene Tofte, Ms. Line Ollestad, Ms. Charlotte Demeer Strøm, Mr. Kristian Sørensen (CEO, BW-LPG), and Mr. Ernst Meyer (CEO, Klaveness Ship Management) were among the few Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA) members that welcomed him. The talks centred on India’s potential contribution to the world’s shipbuilding capacity in the upcoming years, as well as the vital role that the shipping industry plays in the global energy transition and mercantile trade. NSA underlined its hopeful outlook for increased member involvement with the Indian maritime ecosystem and heartily welcomed the signing of TEPA.
