Dear Passengers,
In view of the possibility of the third wave of COVID-19 and mutations in the virus coming into the country through international passengers, it has been decided to mandatorily test all incoming international passengers to international airports in Punjab i.e. Mohali and Amritsar with RT-PCR at arrival.
2. Further, that:
i. The mandatory test shall be conducted irrespective of the fact that the incoming passenger has a negative RT-PCR certificate of the last 72 hours/ complete vaccination certificate.
ii. Infants shall be exempt from the RT-PCR test.
iii. The passenger shall be allowed to leave the premises of the airport/ take transit flights after giving their sample. They shall self-monitor and follow covid appropriate behaviour.
iv. All other requirements for arrival of International Passengers shall continue to be governed by the extant guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
3. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority. For immediate and strict compliance.
