Following the tragic incident of explosion at Gurudwara Nanaskar Essen, Consul General Mr. Raveesh Kumar visited the city on 17th April 2016. He met the Lord Mayor Mr. Thomas Kufen, the Police Commissioner of Essen, Mr. Frank Richter and other officials to discuss the situation.
German authorities promised prompt action into the matter. They also assured strengthened security measures for the place of worship and for the community.
CG also met the injured Chief Granthi at the hospital and wished him speedy recovery. He then visited the Gurudwara, together with the Lord Mayor, and addressed the Sangat, offering support in dealing with the incident.
