That display, which highlighted the Indian Chemical Council’s (ICC) influential work, must have been a noteworthy occasion, particularly in light of their prominent 2024 OPCW The Hague Award victory. In line with the objectives of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the award recognizes achievements to advance chemical safety, security, and peaceful uses of chemistry.
Attending the exhibition with OPCW Director-General Ambassador Fernando Arias, Ambassador Almir Šahović, the Chairperson of the 29th session of the Conference of the States Parties (#CSP29) to the Chemical Weapons Convention, and other international delegates draws attention to India’s contributions to chemical safety and the responsible use of chemical technologies.
Given the growing significance of sustainable and responsible chemical management on a worldwide scale, this exhibition probably highlights India’s efforts to avoid chemical misuse, ensure safety standards, and promote peaceful chemical research and practices.
