Shaping Future-Ready Trade Ties!
The High Commission of India, London hosted an exclusive round of discussions with women entrepreneurs and exporters from the apparel & textiles sector and agri products — including spices, tea and coffee — from India.
The session was led by Minister (Economic) Nidhi M Tripathi and Kate Thornley, Chief Negotiators of the India-UK CETA. Women entrepreneurs took centre stage to explore emerging export opportunities under the agreement, including its first-ever Gender Equality chapter aimed at advancing inclusive trade facilitation and support through a Joint Working Group.
Michelle Kristy highlighted International Trade Centre SheTrades initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs, while exporters shared their journeys of accessing UK market opportunities and the transformative role of trade in women’s economic empowerment.
