Embassy of India, Lisbon Celebrates the 77th Republic Day of India 🇮🇳🇵🇹
The Embassy of India in Lisbon (@IndiainPortugal) hosted the National Day Reception to mark the 77th Republic Day of India, bringing together distinguished guests from across Portugal and the diplomatic community.
The event was honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. João Moura, Secretary of State, as Chief Guest, and H.E. Mr. José Abrantes, President of the Constitutional Court, as Guest of Honour, along with Ambassador Pedro Catarino, Representative of the Republic to the Azores, Ambassadors, Members of Parliament, senior government officials, journalists, business leaders, members of the Indian community, Portuguese nationals, and friends of India.
Ambassador @puneet.kundal highlighted the milestone of 50 years of India–Portugal diplomatic relations in 2025. A film showcasing high-level visits and key engagements of 2025 was screened, while vibrant cultural performances celebrated 150 years of Vande Mataram and the enduring India–Portugal friendship.
