The Tamil Nadu Day event, held on December 1, 2024, in Frankfurt, Germany, was organized by the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt, in collaboration with Tamil Associations in the Rheinmain area. The event aimed at fostering investment, promoting tourism, and enhancing exports from Tamil Nadu to Germany.
A high-level delegation from Tamil Nadu, including Mr. T.R.B. Rajaa, Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion & Commerce, Mr. R. Sakkarapani, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, and Mr. B. Krishnamoorthy, Special Secretary, TIDCO, attended the event.
The Consul General of India, Mr. B.S. Mubarak, welcomed the delegation and participants. Various speakers, including Mr. Selvakumar Periasamy and Mr. Kannan Adisheshan, introduced the Tamil associations across Europe and Germany.

Hon’ble Minister Mr. A. Chakrapani emphasized Tamil Nadu’s focus on talent development and an ecosystem for innovation and industry growth.
Mr. Krishnamoorthy discussed government initiatives to engage the Tamil diaspora and TIDCO’s flagship projects to encourage collaboration.
A session titled ‘Entrepreneurial Pathways in Germany and India’ was moderated by Mr. Nirmal Raman Kannaiyan, focusing on collaboration opportunities for Tamil Nadu MSMEs and global enterprises. Additionally, Mr. Sathees Sabaratnam provided insights on starting businesses in Germany.
