The City of Copenhagen has been officially designated as World Capital of Architecture in 2023 by UNESCO !
Throughout 2023, Copenhagen will bring very different countries from very distant corners of the World together to show, discuss and improve all the things we have in common and where architecture plays an important part.
In parallel to the World Capital of Architecture, UIA World Congress of Architects is taking place in Copenhagen July 2-6, 2023. It is the first time the congress will be held in a Nordic country. Under the headline “Sustainable Futures – Leave No One Behind”, the Congress 2023 aims at making architecture a central tool in achieving the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals and establishing global sustainability practices across all architectural disciplines by 2030. The invited keynote speakers include leading global voices from the worlds of architecture, politics, science and business.
