On April 5th, 2025, The Global Citizens (TGC), in collaboration with the Odia Socio Cultural Association Netherlands (OSCAN), hosted a vibrant and heartfelt celebration of Utkal Divas. The event brought together members of the Indian diaspora, local residents, and culture lovers to honour the rich heritage and enduring traditions of Odisha.
The celebration was graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Kumar Tuhin, Ambassador of India to the Netherlands. In his address, the Ambassador spoke with great pride about Odisha’s profound contributions to India’s cultural fabric and commended the Odia community for their dedication to preserving and promoting their heritage on the global stage.
The afternoon unfolded as a vivid tapestry of cultural expression—from mesmerizing classical dance performances and soulful Odia music to thought-provoking talks. Each moment resonated with the spirit of Odisha, celebrating its legacy of art, resilience, and unity.
