                    Public Notice regarding re-issuance of Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) Card

Attention of all OCI cardholders are invited to Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’s guidelines regarding re-issuance of Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) Card once a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age.

2. In order to avoid inconvenience caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, it has been decided, with the approval of competent authority of Government of India, to further grant extension of time till 31.12.2022 to all such eligible OCI Cardholders who have to get their OCI card re-issued.

3. It has been decided that subject to Ministry of Home Affairs extant guidelines regarding entry of OCI Cardholders in India, such OCI Cardholders will be allowed to travel on the strength of their existing OCI Cards bearing old passport number subject to the condition that the OCI Cardholders will have to travel along with new passport.
