Showcasing Incredible India in Reykjavik 🇮🇸🇮🇳

The Embassy of India in Reykjavik organised a tourism promotion event on 10 November 2025, highlighting the beauty, diversity, and vibrancy of Incredible India. The event featured captivating presentations, videos, and first-hand experiences from Icelanders who have travelled to India, offering an immersive glimpse into India’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

Ambassador R. Ravindra spoke about India’s vast tourism potential, its cultural diversity, and the endless opportunities for travellers to explore the country’s history, spirituality, adventure, and wellness tourism. Ms. Anisha Tomar, Second Secretary, delivered an engaging presentation showcasing the wide range of tourism experiences available in India — from heritage and spiritual circuits to eco, adventure, and rural tourism.

Renowned photographer Mr. Einar Falur Ingolfsson and writer Ms. Björg Arnardóttir shared their inspiring experiences of living in Varanasi and Kerala, respectively, bringing India’s colors and warmth to life through their stories. Journalists Baldur Arnarsson and Valur Gunnarsson also spoke about India’s dynamic economy and deep-rooted history, drawing from their recent visit to Delhi, Agra, and Ahmedabad.

The event was well attended by tour operators, travel enthusiasts, and Friends of India, reaffirming the growing interest in India as a must-visit destination.
