Millet Food festival was celebrated along with members of the culinary fraternity and importers of food items in Iceland. A cooking show , exhibition of millet grains and food tasting was organised by EOI, Reykjavik on 15th May. Madam Ramya Shyam prepared a number of delicious millets dishes from snacks to desserts and explained the cooking procedure to the audience.
Dr Vinutha , a scientist from IARI gave an informative presentation on the benefits of millets and showcased the various ways in which Millets are used in India. The guests were gifted with millets snacks which were provided by APEDA . The show created a lot of buzz and curiosity amongst the restauranteurs of Iceland.
