When Germany’s youngest mayor and significant citizens of a historic city come together, music magic happens. May the living bridge between India and Germany grow stronger every day.
The Haus Marteau stag president Henry Schramm gave his OK – and so we were able to move the concert within an hour: out of the rain, into the Bezirk . And what a concert it was! The room was packed. People even sat on the stairs. There was a standing ovation at the end.
Also the Indian Consul General Mohit Yadav, who had come extra to Lichtenberg and registered in the golden book here, apparently liked it. And Trio Benares really wants to come back.
My sincere thanks to Edit Wurzbacher , without whom this very special day would not have been possible!
Thanks to Nathalie Quehl and Sandra Hüttner for the pictures.
