London Hosts 3rd Indo Pacific Conference Focused on Global Cooperation

Advancing Strategic Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific

The 3rd Indo-Pacific Conference was held in London, co-hosted by the High Commission of India in the UK, Australian High Commission, and Singapore High Commission, in partnership with King’s College London – Centre for Statecraft and National Security.

Policymakers, scholars & industry experts came together to discuss “Re-thinking Cooperation in a Fragmented World”, focusing on how geopolitical, geoeconomic and technological shifts are shaping the Indo-Pacific and the global strategic landscape.

🔹 Highlights of the Conference
✨ Opening remarks by Prof. Shitij Kapur, followed by a keynote address from Seema Malhotra MP, emphasising that rising fragmentation makes strong strategic partnerships more vital than ever.

🔹 Session 1 – King’s College London
Panel chaired by Prof. Alessio Patalano with Prof. Sir Lawrence Freedman, Dr Lavina Lee, Ashok Malik & Prof. Danny Quah️ — analysing global fragmentation and the Indo-Pacific’s role in future economic & security dynamics.

🔹 Session 2 – India House
Discussion with HC Vikram Doraiswami, HE Stephen Smith & HE Ng Teck Hean, chaired by Prof. John Bew CMG, reflecting on national strategies, UK partnerships and emerging opportunities for deeper Indo-Pacific cooperation.

🔹 Session 3 – Australia House
Panel chaired by Sophia Gaston with Dr Reuben Abraham, Prof. Danny Quah & Rebecca Shrimpton, focusing on strengthening stability, resilience & inclusive growth — with special emphasis on technology, climate & energy.

The conference highlighted a shared commitment to a free, open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific through collaboration and strategic alignment.
