On 21st June 2025, Kerala Samajam Frankfurt proudly celebrated its 55th anniversary with a grand cultural evening at SAALBAU Bornheim, bringing together over 550 attendees including members, families, and well-wishers from the Indian diaspora.
Representing the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt, Mr. P. Sathyanarayanan graced the occasion as the official representative of India in Germany. In his address, he lauded Kerala Samajam’s long-standing commitment to community building and cultural preservation, particularly highlighting the impact of its Malayalam language classes in nurturing native roots among younger generations. He congratulated the organisation on its remarkable journey spanning five and a half decades and praised the professionalism evident in both its routine activities and the 55th-anniversary celebrations.
A poignant moment during the event was the felicitation of former presidents of Kerala Samajam, honouring their invaluable contributions over the years. The evening featured a colourful showcase of traditional Kerala and classical Indian dance performances, culminating in a soulful 3-hour Gaanamela that captivated the audience. Guests were also treated to an authentic spread of Kerala cuisine, offering a delicious reminder of home.
Kerala Samajam Frankfurt continues to serve as a vibrant hub for cultural, educational, and social engagement within the Malayalee community in Germany.
