India at the Forefront of Global Growth & Innovation
At the pre-Davos 2026 Ambassadors’ Luncheon hosted by Børge Brende, President & CEO of the World Economic Forum, at its headquarters in Geneva, Amb. Kumar outlined India’s priorities for WEF 2026.
He highlighted India’s expectations from the WEF platform—especially as emerging technologies like AI drive global growth—and underscored India’s hosting of the AI Impact Summit in February 2026, shortly after the WEF Annual Meeting.
Mr. Brende spoke highly of India’s strong economic momentum, noting its 8.2% growth rate and its contribution of nearly 16% to global GDP, even amid challenging global trade conditions.
