India warmly welcomed Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul of Germany in New Delhi today.
The two sides held detailed discussions on the wide-ranging bilateral agenda in preparation for the upcoming round of Inter-Governmental Consultations in Germany. Opportunities for deeper cooperation were explored in the areas of industry linkages, talent mobility, digital transformation, semiconductors, and critical technologies.
India appreciates Germany’s strong advocacy for closer India–EU ties and its constructive role in advancing the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The leaders also exchanged views on multilateral cooperation and pressing global issues, including the Ukraine conflict, the situation in the Middle East/West Asia, and developments in the Indo-Pacific.
