India Extends Visa Support for Stranded Foreign Nationals

In view of disruptions to international travel and airspace closures since 28 February 2026, the Government of India has announced key relief measures for foreign nationals currently stranded in the country.

✔️ Visa/e-visa extensions for one month (free of charge) on a case-by-case basis
✔️ Waiver of penalties for overstay after 28/02/2026
✔️ Free exit permits for those wishing to depart
✔️ No violation for those unable to apply for extension or exit permits
✔️ Free Temporary Landing Permits (TLP) for foreign nationals arriving due to flight diversions

These measures aim to support and facilitate the stay and movement of affected foreign citizens during this period.
