India in Germany CGI Frankfurt Marks 77th Republic Day with Chief Guest Mr. Martin Rößler

CGI Frankfurt hosts National Day Reception to commemorate the 77th Republic Day of India 🇮🇳

India in Germany (Consulate General of India, Frankfurt) hosted the National Day Reception at Hotel Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof to commemorate the 77th Republic Day of India. The occasion was graced by Mr. Martin Rößler, State Secretary, Hessian Ministry of the Interior, Security and Homeland Security, as the Chief Guest.

The reception was attended by dignitaries from the German government, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the India–Germany business community, and members of the Indian diaspora. The evening commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the national anthems of Germany and India.

Consul General Ms Shuchita Kishore expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest and highlighted the strong India–Germany bilateral ties, especially in the context of the recent visit of Chancellor Friedrich Merz to India. She also outlined the Consulate’s outreach activities over the past year and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening cooperation in the months ahead.

Mr. Martin Rößler reiterated his support for deepening India–Germany relations, with special emphasis on the India–Hesse partnership, underscoring India’s robust economic growth and the growing Indian community in the region.

The reception featured ODOP displays showcasing India’s diverse handicrafts, an Ayurveda corner highlighting India’s holistic wellness traditions, and a vibrant cultural programme including performances of Vande Mataram, Mohiniyattam, and Garba. Tokens of appreciation were presented to the artists in recognition of their outstanding performances.
