On 8 April, the India-Iceland Trade Council, in collaboration with Bharat Technology and Impact Accelerator (Bharatia), hosted a workshop and roundtable discussion on the theme “Hyper-accelerating Icelandic Technologies in India.”
Ambassador R. Ravindra highlighted the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) and its potential to boost bilateral trade and investment. Mr. Sanmit Ahuja, MD & CEO of Bharatia, outlined the vast opportunities available in India for scaling innovation and technology.
Icelandic companies—Carbon Recycling, Retina Risk, and Evolytes—delivered insightful presentations showcasing their technological advancements. The event was moderated by Mr. Olafur Stephensen, Secretary General of the India-Iceland Trade Council.
Ms. Bylgja Arnadottir from Iceland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs also addressed the gathering. The event was held with the support of the Embassy.
