Strengthening India–EU Strategic Partnership for a Secure Indo-Pacific
Germany and the EU are committed to deepening their strategic partnership with India by advancing economic cooperation, including the proposed India–EU Free Trade Agreement, and expanding security collaboration.
The new India–EU Security and Defense Partnership will further strengthen cooperation in key areas such as maritime security, cybersecurity, and counter-terrorism.
Since 2020, the EU’s ESIWA+ project—co-funded by Germany and France—has implemented hundreds of bilateral and regional initiatives across the Indo-Pacific region.
By combining expertise and resources, the EU and India continue to champion open dialogue, regional stability, and collective efforts to safeguard peace in the Indo-Pacific.
