The India Corner and Digital Transformation Lab at the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), Gyumri Branch, were formally inaugurated on 17 November 2025 by Ambassador Nilakshi S. Sinha and ASUE-GB Director Mr. Karen Petrosyan.
The state-of-the-art Lab, fully equipped with modern digital tools, has been established as a special gift from the people of India to the people of Armenia, reflecting India’s commitment to supporting Armenia’s educational advancement and technological growth. The facility aims to enhance digital literacy, foster innovation, and create new opportunities for students in emerging fields.
During her visit, Ambassador Sinha held productive discussions with Director Petrosyan on strengthening institutional collaboration, including building academic partnerships with Indian universities, promoting faculty exchanges, digital capacity-building, and exploring new avenues of cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ambassador Sinha also interacted warmly with students from various disciplines, encouraging them to make full use of the new digital infrastructure. She joined the campus community in celebrating International Students’ Day, appreciating the enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy of the occasion
