India and Pakistan Agree to Ceasefire Following Diplomatic Intervention.

The ceasefire was brokered through mediation led by the United States. Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced that both India and Pakistan had agreed to immediately cease all military operations. The agreement was officially confirmed by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who reiterated their countries’ commitment to peace and regional stability.
