Ambassador Saurabh Kumar and Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, participated in a panel discussion on “Challenges and Opportunities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the context of India-EU relations” held at ECDPM. Ambassador Kumar and Secretary Krishnan highlighted India’s growing digital ecosystem, policy frameworks for responsible AI, and the scope for deepening collaboration with the EU in areas such as AI governance, innovation, and ethical standards. The discussion underscored the mutual commitment of India and the EU to harness AI for sustainable development, economic growth, and societal benefit while addressing shared challenges around data, regulation, and trust.
