At a symposium conducted by from 27th to 29th April 2016 at Berlin to enhance possibilities of Indo-German cooperation in the fields of developing smart cities, Dr. Ramesh Chennamaneni, MLA & Initiator of Hyderabad Megacity Project as well as Prof. C.S.R.K. Prasad, Expert in Transportation Policy from NIT Warangal, held fruitful discussions with their German counterparts. Particularly Smart city public transportation policies, technology based on IT solutions, new and efficient forms of mobility organization and joint ventures to revamp Telangana RTC played a key role. German Government and companies showed keen interest to cooperate with the Telangana Government and RTC and have confirmed their visit. Indo-German Science & Technology Centre has been initiated by the Prime Minister, Sri. Narendra Modi and German Chancellor, Mrs. Angela Merkel as a high level nodal agency to accelerate research and development cooperation between both countries.
