Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran, Chair of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), met with United Nations Secretary-General H.E. António Guterres in New York.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kumaran reaffirmed CND’s strong commitment to promoting balanced, evidence-based, and collaborative approaches in tackling global drug-related challenges. The discussion also focused on proposals to enhance institutional frameworks and international cooperation to effectively address the evolving dynamics of the global drug problem.
