Consulate General of India, Frankfurt commemorated the 162nd birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore or #RabindraJayanti at the Consulate coinciding with AzadiKaAmrit Mahotsav celebrations, remembering this great son of Mother India, an epitome of creative genius and a cultural Ambassador of India.
Members of the Bengali community in Rhein Main Area as well as other parts of Germany presented Gurudev’s compositions in the form of RabindraSangeet and remembered his immense contribution as a poet, author, dramatist, humanist and philosopher who spread the message of peace and intercultural understanding.
Consulate would like to convey our sincere thanks to all the artists, especially children for their wholehearted participation and presenting the life and work of Gurudev Tagore as we celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. We would also like to thank Ms Maumita Dey for providing delicious Bengali recipes as refreshments, with a taste of authentic and delicious #Bengali cuisine.
