Celebration of the 76th India Independence Day in Bremen (August 20, 2022)
As part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” activities, Shaktya e.V. in association with the Consulate General organized a Celebration of the 76th India Independence Day in Bremen on 20th August 2022 in Bremen. Vice Consul Gulshan Dhingra who attended the event as Chief Guest, unfurled the Indian Tricolour and addressed the participants. Ms Sigrid Grönert, MdBB- CUD Bremen, Ms Sofia Leonidakis, MdBB- Links Fraktion, Prof. Dr Avid Kapps, Dean Jacob University attended as Guests of Honor while Mr Surya Kumar Bose, President, DIG Hamburg was the Special Guest of Honour. Dr Rajesh Mishra, Director, Shaktya gave the Welcome address and Dr. Rajini Nagrani moderated the event. Various artists, such as Jamuna Dance Group, Amrita Singh & team and Poulami Chatterji presented dance items while Dr Subhendu Chakraborty & Saptarshi Chatterjee sang songs in Bengali and Hindi and Dr. Sindhu Shree recited poems. The event was supported by Durga Pooja Bremen & Cultural e.V., GINCO, ISAB- Bremen and ISAB – BHV, Indian Community Bremen.
