Ambassador Acquino Vimal and Kjetil Kivle, Mayor of Lier attended the impressive pongal festival celebrations organised by TANAN (Tamil Nadu Association in Norway) at Sylling, Oslo. At the event, TANAN presented the activities done by them in the last one year. Children made presented on the significance of Pongal. Elegant and impressive bharatnatyam and folk dance performance were also made, which were well received by more than 300 attendees. Ladies also cooked pongal in an earthen pot using firewood and traditional South Indian lunch was served in banana leaves.
