India–Sweden Partnership Gains Momentum at AI Summit
Marking the second day of her visit and advancing the India–Sweden partnership in innovation and technology, Sweden’s Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch engaged in high-level discussions and inspiring exchanges at the AI Summit in New Delhi.
She met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, joining them at the country pavilions during the Summit.
Deputy Prime Minister Busch also held a productive interaction with Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, underscoring a shared commitment to deepen collaboration in green technology, research & development, and engagement under the India–EU Free Trade Agreement framework.
India’s skilled youth and Sweden’s innovation strength continue to make both nations natural partners for sustainable growth.
Speaking at the Leaders’ and Ministerial Plenary Session, she remarked:
“To define our path, let us redefine, a little bit, what AI stands for in the India–Sweden partnership. For us, AI also stands for Aspiring India.”
Later, she delivered a keynote address at the “Shaping an AI-Driven Tomorrow” India–Sweden Leadership Dialogue at the Embassy of Sweden, further deepening dialogue on innovation, technology, and shared leadership for a sustainable digital future.
