IndiaโNRW Ties Gain Momentum Through High-Level Engagements ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช
Ambassador Ajit Gupte met Ms. Mona Neubaur, Deputy Minister-President and Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry & Climate Protection of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), on 5 Feb 2026.
NRW, Germanyโs most populous state contributing nearly 20% of the countryโs GDP, remains a key partner for Indiaโs economic engagement in Europe.
Both sides discussed follow-up measures after Chancellor Merzโs visit to India and agreed to intensify exchanges of political and business delegations. They also welcomed the recent visit of the Mayor of Dรผsseldorf to ๐ฎ๐ณ and noted the strong interest among ๐ฉ๐ช businesses to explore opportunities in India โ and vice versa.
