77th Republic Day Reception Celebrated at the Embassy of India, Vienna 🇮🇳🇦🇹
The 77th Republic Day Reception was held at the Embassy of India in Vienna last evening, celebrating India’s rich heritage, achievements, and growing partnership with Austria.
Highlights of the evening:
Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran’s Address: Spoke about India’s successful journey, strengthened ties with Austria, and reaffirmed India’s commitment to multilateralism.
Book Launch: A German edition of a Panchatantra storybook, illustrated by renowned Austrian cartoonist Mr. Klaus Pitter, was released in partnership with Stadt Wien to support the EU’s BOUNCE BACK schools programme.
Vande Mataram: The Choir of the Vienna University Philharmonic Orchestra delivered a soulful rendition, celebrating 150 years of India’s national song.
ODOP Coffee Tasting: Guests enjoyed a special tasting of One District One Product (ODOP) coffee from Coorg, Araku Valley, and Chikmagalur, paying tribute to Vienna’s iconic coffee culture.
The event was attended by representatives of the Austrian government, Vienna-based international organisations, business and media representatives, the diplomatic corps, and friends of India.
