The High Commission of India, London celebrated India’s 77th #RepublicDay with a vibrant reception at the Guildhall.
Chief Guest Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, praised India’s democracy and the Indian diaspora as a bridge between the two nations. HC Vikram Doraiswami highlighted India’s constitutional journey and the momentum in the India–UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including trade, technology, innovation, and defence.
The evening featured dhol and Bhangra performances, and was attended by the diplomatic corps, UK Parliament, business leaders, media, and friends of India, celebrating India as a confident, modern nation engaged with the world.
