Celebrating Cultural Diplomacy and Indo German Partnership in Berlin

Celebrating Culture, Creativity & Partnership in Berlin

The Embassy of India, Berlin and the Tagore Centre hosted an End-of-Year Reception, celebrating a remarkable year of cultural diplomacy, artistic collaboration, and Indo-German partnership, as India and Germany mark 25 years of Strategic Partnership.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Ajit Gupte highlighted that “cultural engagement builds the long-term trust that underpins every strong bilateral relationship,” reaffirming the central role of culture in strengthening ties between the two nations.

🎬 The evening began with a special screening of “The Making of Indian Swan Lake”—a landmark Indo-German co-creation that reimagines Swan Lake through the depth and elegance of Indian classical dance, showcasing meaningful dialogue between artistic traditions.

🤝 The screening was followed by a warm networking reception with distinguished guests from diplomacy, arts & culture, academia, and media.
Director, Tagore Centre Berlin, Ms Trisha Sakhlecha, thanked the guests and emphasized the strength of the shared cultural community as we look ahead to 2026.
