India–OPCW Cooperation Strengthens Further
On the sidelines of the 30th Session of the Conference of the States Parties, Permanent Representative of India to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Kumar Tuhin, met the incoming Director General of OPCW, Ms. Sabrina Matter.
The discussion focused on further strengthening India’s ongoing cooperation with OPCW, including:
🔹 Capacity-building and training initiatives
🔹 Technical collaboration for chemical safety and security
🔹 Support for global non-proliferation efforts
India reaffirmed its commitment to the objectives of the Chemical Weapons Convention and expressed readiness to deepen engagement with OPCW in promoting chemical disarmament, peaceful uses of chemistry, and global chemical security.
