Ambassador H.E. Mr. Kumar Tuhin, representing India, presented the country’s National Statement at the 36th General Council Meeting of the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) in The Hague. He congratulated the Chairperson of the Governing Council, Ms. Mirjam Blaak Sow, and the Managing Director, Mr. Sheikh Belal, for their leadership in guiding the CFC’s work.
In his remarks, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of ensuring that commodity producers have access to the latest technologies to boost crop productivity. He expressed India’s willingness to share its best practices with other CFC Member States while also being open to learning from them. Furthermore, he recommended that the CFC develop a web portal to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices among member countries.
