Ambassador Acquino Vimal spoke at the side event “A Global Arctic: Navigating the New Reality?” organized by the Fridtjof Nansen Institute at the Arctic Frontiers Conference in Tromsø on January 30, 2024. The Ambassador presented India’s Arctic policy and emphasized the need to focus on more scientific research to better understand the impact of climate change in the Arctic on weather patterns in other parts of the world, including the monsoons in the Indian subcontinent.
