Embassy of India, Oslo organised a community reception on January 26, 2024 to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of India. In a well-attended program, Ambassador Acquino Vimal read out the President’s speech to the nation on the eve of the Republic Day and also elaborated on the efforts made by the Embassy towards community outreach. A video of the unfurling of the flag at India House was also shown, followed by the singing of the national anthem. Two videos were presented to highlight India’s foreign policy achievements in 2023, including its presidency of the G20, as well as activities undertaken by the Indian Embassy as well as the Indian diaspora in the last one year. Cultural performances, including patriotic dances, recitations of patriotic poems, and patriotic songs, were showcased, accompanied by Indian cuisine.
