Today, on Flag Day Denmark pays tribute to the outstanding efforts of Danes who are or have been deployed abroad on international missions – soldiers, civil servants, police officers, rescue personnel and health care workers among others.
The day will be celebrated across all of Denmark and in the capital of Copenhagen. The day is commemorated with an official wreath laying ceremony and a memorial service for Denmark’s fallen.
