Switzerland has proclaimed May 26 as Science Day out of appreciation for visiting previous President, Late Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.
The Swiss government, thinking about his huge mastery in science and innovation, declared this after his appearance in Geneva on 26th May 2005.
Switzerland considers the President as the father of India’s missile programme.
Kalam was the primary Indian head of state to visit Switzerland after a gap of over 30 years.
