On November 9, 2024, VHP Norway hosted a Diwali celebration at Grorud Samfunnhus in Oslo. Acquino Vimal, the ambassador, was present. The event celebrated Diwali with traditional fervor and featured a rich exhibition of India’s cultural heritage. Additionally, members of the Indian diaspora, particularly youngsters, gave captivating cultural performances at the event. To help children from the Indian diaspora connect with the rich history of Indian storytelling while instilling moral values, the Embassy of India also organized an India corner, which was widely attended and featured comics telling Indian folk stories in Norwegian. In order to address the consular inquiries of diaspora members, the Embassy’s Consular Team also held a miniature consular camp.
